CÓDIGO CIVIL PARA EL DISTRITO FEDERAL DE 1928 *

Joel JIMÉNEZ GARCÍA **

We present a work related to the 1928 Civil Code which arises from a document review, basically from the Official Federal Gazette, in which we cite the names of its Editing Commission, [and] its publication in the Gazette, and we also attempt to find some elements which would explain to us the question of "Why a vacatio legis?" of four years, its dual quality as federal and local law, and a point which is worthy of reflection by any student of Law, because after our Magna Carta, this Code is the central document, since it profiles the Mexican Legal System, is to question its constitutionality. To this we add the reforms it has undergone since 1928 to date. Furthermore, all of this is supported by the doctrinaire opinions of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation.

*Algunos comentarios y sus reformas, desde su promulgación, bajo el nombre de Código Civil para el Distrito y Territorios Federales en Materia Común y para toda la República en Materia Federal de 1928.
